Abstract

Havaalanlarinda pist sonlarina uygulanan araç durdurma yataklari yataga giren uçagin emin bir sekilde hizinin azalmasini saglar. Yataklar önceden belirlenen sikistirilma gradyani direncine sahip çok miktarda hücresel beton bloktan (79) olusur. Uçagin inis takimlari yatakla temas ederek emin oranlarda bir hiz azalmasina ugrar. Uçak birinci sikistirilma gradyani direnç degerine ve 9-24 inç kalinliga sahip bloklardan olusan yatagin giris bölümüne (52) girer. Birinci bölüme yapistirilmis olabilen ikinci bölümde (54) bulunan bloklarin sikistirilma gradyani direnci birinci bölümden daha büyüktür ve derinligi 30 inçe kadar çikar. Bu sekilde uçak artan bir sürtünme kuvvetiyle ilerler ve söz konusu durdurma özelligi çesitli uçaklar için geçerlidir.
