Abstract

A singeing machine (100) comprising a singeing burner (10) for strands of yarn (3), whereby a cooling path (15) is connected to said burner (10) and the strands of yarn (3) run in a slanted downward position therein. Said cooling path is of a sufficient length to enable the singed particles that are displaced along with the yarn to lose their adhesiveness at the end of the cooling path (15).
