Tohumun depolanmasini, seçimini ve ekimini kolaylastirir. Seçime bagli olarak metod, bir tohum çesidinin büyük bir kismini öncelikle sekle göre ayirmayi ve tohumun geri kalaninin en azindan bir kismini büyüklügü de bir faktör olarak alan geleneksel metodlarla ayirmayi içerebilir.
