Saf tereftalik asit üretiminin, tipik biçimde, alçak isi ve basinçta, akyus sivi faz solüsyonundaki, 4-karboksibenzaldehid (4-CBA), renk birimleri ve diger saf olmayanlari içeren, katalitik olarak, saf olmayan tereftalik asidi hidrojene ettigi, yüksek derecede saf tereftalik asit üretimindeki, bulus agiz akintilarindan, fazla hidrojenin tekrar kazanilmasi ve dönüstürülmesi için bir yöntem.
