Abstract

DC60 (March 24, 2014) The formula and manufacturing process of herbal hand sanitizer gel, as described in this invention, involves using extracts from the Panchanth herb, which possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties. These extracts are then processed using a solvent before being used to produce a gel. This gel is prepared by mixing a gelling agent with water, then adding the Panchanth herbal extract and chitosan. Next, aloe vera juice (which has wound-healing, antibacterial, and healing properties), alcohol, and fragrance are added before triethanolamine is incorporated. The resulting hand sanitizer gel cleans hands without the need for rinsing with water. The formula and manufacturing process of this herbal hand sanitizer gel utilizes the Panchanth herbal extract, known for its antibacterial properties, and aloe vera, which possesses wound-healing, antibacterial, and healing properties. The gel is prepared by mixing a gelling agent with water and then adding the Panchanth herbal extract. Then add triclosan, aloe vera juice, alcohol, and fragrance before adding triethanolamine. This will produce a herbal hand sanitizer gel made from Panchanth herbs, for cleaning hands without rinsing with water.

The formula for producing herbal hand sanitizer gel from Panax quinquefolius, as invented, can be prepared from (percentage by weight): Ionized water using resin 43-45%, 95% ethyl alcohol 45-50%, gelling agent (Ultrez 10) 0.3-0.4%, triethanolamine 0.3-0.4%, aloe vera juice 4.0-5.0%, Panax quinquefolius herbal extract powder 0.2-0.4%, triclosan 0.10-0.15%, fragrance oil 0.01-0.02%. 2. The manufacturing process of hand sanitizer gel from Panax quinquefolius, as per claim 1, involves the following steps: Pour the gelling agent (ultrez) into water and let it stand without stirring for 2 minutes to allow the substance to disperse and become homogeneous. Then, gently stir to ensure the solution is uniform before adding the Panax quinquefolius herbal extract powder and triclosan dissolved in ethanol and mixing thoroughly. Next, add the aloe vera juice prepared by finely blending the clear gel and filtering it through cheesecloth. Stir well. Add the remaining alcohol and fragrance oil and mix well. Add triethanolamine and stir gently to prevent foaming. The resulting hand sanitizer gel is then left to steep for 24 hours, passed through a vacuum filter, and the solvent is evaporated using a rotary evaporator at 50°C for 1 hour. Finally, it is freeze-dried to obtain the Panax quinquefolius herbal extract powder.
