Description

Devices are known for putting elastic coatings on bushings and rollers of tape, roving and rolling machines with holders of mandrels of bushings and mandrels of a coating.

The proposed device allows speeding up the changeover from one sleeve size to another and increases productivity.

The feature of the device is that the holder of the mandrel sleeves is mounted for movement from the drive chain and from the counter load to the carriage, which is connected to the chain by means of the latch.

The holders of the sleeves of the sleeves and mandrels of the coating are mounted on revolving type drums.

The revolving drum 5 is turned by a handle 10 with a corresponding hole on the line of movement of the carriage, and a mandrel 14 with a sleeve 15 intended to put an elastic cover on it is inserted into the opening of the revolving drum and fixed on it by turning the handle B.

The mandrel 16 is freely put on the elastic coating 17. The mandrel 16, which is free from the coating, is inserted into the cylindrical opening of the drum 11, after which the carriage 2 with the latch 3 is driven from the sprocket 18 by means of the drive chain 4.

When the carriage moves to the right, the sleeve 15 comes into contact with the mandrel 16 and moves it along the axis of the cylindrical opening of the drum 11. The elastic coating 17, abutting against the end portion of the drum 11, is released from the mandrel 16 and is put on the sleeve 15 entering it. The mandrel 16, free from cover, steps on tray 19.

After putting the elastic coating on the sleeve, the movement of the carriage to the right is stopped, the latch 3 comes out of engagement with chain 4 and the carriage 2 together with the drum 5 under the action of a counter load 20 attached by a cable to the base of the carriage returns to its original position.
