Description

(5 4) HEAVY-DIFFERENT SEPARATOR

In the separator filled with the slurry, the starting material enters the tray 4, where, once in the slurry, it is divided by density into floating and sunk products. The floated product is transported by a slurry transporting stream or transported by a mechanism that moves to the device Pp to unload the floated product 2 and is removed by the separator. . The sunk product is deposited on the bottom of tray 4 and during the reciprocating motion of the latter is rapidly pushed to the device for unloading sunk product 3, which is removed from the separator. Continuously supplied suspension through the pipe 7 under the tray, passes through the holes 8 in its bottom and bath, forming in it the ascending and transporting flows of suspension. The suspension flow through the holes 8 in the bottom of the tray repeatedly mixes the layer of the sunk product when it falls from step to step, freeing the light fractions captured by the layer from the cramped mass of the layer. Due to the intake of the suspension through the entire area of the bottom of the tray, the suspension forms a uniform directional upward flow over the entire area of the tray, excluding the possibility of the formation of stagnant zones in it and preventing the separation of the suspension along the depth of the tray.
