Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a dry type solid classifier applicable to even large-size sorting through by a method in which floating and settling of objects to be separated are accelerated by a large number of separating aids attached to the bottom plate of an inclinded sorting through in order to enable heavy objects to be completely separated from light objects in one process.
CONSTITUTION: Dry granules A, e.g., sand, etc., having a middle specific gravity between the heavy object W and the light object P of objects B to be separated, are supplied from a media supplyer 1 to the upper end 3b of an inclined sorting trough 3. And, the granules A are flowed down in a thcker layer than a separating plate 6 inside the trough 3 and then objects B to be separated, consisting of light object P and heavy object W, is dropped onto the granules A from a raw material supplyer 2. And, the heavy object W is sedimented gradually into the granules A, delivered on the trough 3, discharged with the granules A, and then stored in a recovery container 11.
