The upper water containing dust coal is dropped from an upper overflow port of the hold 2 into a lateral partition 1 and introduced from an intake port 6 to a transport pipe 5. While this slurry is sent to a separator 7 by a pump 8, bonding agent consisting of heavy oil and others is added to granulate dust coal in the slurry. Granulated materials left on a screen by the separator 7 are dumped into the hold and the other water content is discharged. Since the dust coal is separated after granulated, the coal slurry containing dust coal can be easily and efficiently dehydrated.
