Известен чугун следующего хими состава (в вес. %): 2,0-4,0 Углерод ДО 2,0 Кремний 1,5-6,0 Марганец до 2,5 до 1,0 Молибден Остальное Железо Чугун имеет твердость , об высокой стойкостью против абразивног са и ударной нагрузки. В структуре чугуна в зависимости о ни отливки помимо карбидов може перлит, аустенит и мартенсит. Известен также чугун следующего ческого состава (ввес. %): 3,1-3,4 Углерод 1,9-2,5 Кремний 0,6-0,9 Марганец 0,25-0,35 0,1-0,16 Никель 0,15-0,25 0,4-0,6 Железо Остальное Чугун в качестве примесей содержит серу в количестве 0,05-0,12 вес. %, фосфор в коли ecтвe 0,1-0,2 вес. %. Недо-статком известного чугуна вл етс нераиномерна твердость в тонких и массивных течени х, что снижает обрабатываемость отливок. Содержание хрома в чугуне значительно тормозит графитизацию, привод к по влению структурно-свободных карбидов в массивных сечени х и увеличению склонности чугуна к отбеливанию в тонких сечени х .
