Изобретение относитс к химическим средствам борьбы с нежелательной расти тельностью в посевах возделываемых кул тур. Известен способ борьбы с нежелательной растительностью, включающий до- и послевсходовую обработку посевов произв ными замещенного 1,3,4- тиадиазо ла общ формулы где R - алкил, галоидалкил, галоид,алкоксиалкил , алкил-, алкенилили алкинилмеркаптогруппа, алкил сульфонил; R- - С -С. - алкил, X - карбонил или сера; ОН OR X-:№ II II -X Isr-R Rv3 / где R - водород, алкил, галоидалкил или алкилсульфонил; R и R - НИЗШИ1 алкил. Однако известные гербициды недостаточно активны и избирательны в посевах хлопчатника и злаковых культур. С целью усилени гербицидной активноси и избирательности действи предлагает до- и поспевсходовую обработку посевов роизводить производными замещенного 1, ,4- тиадиазола общей формулы IT в которой Р - апкил, алкенип, галоидалкип , незамещенный или замещенный аралкил или арил, алкип- или аралкилтио-, алкил- или аралкилсульфонил, алкил- или арал килсульфоксигруппа; R -метил или этил; Т1 - 1 или 2, в дозе 0,5-10 кг/га. В табл. 1 перечислены производные замещенного 1,3,4- тиадиазола, испытанные в качестве гербицида.
