4567-400The literature describes a variety of methods for producing dichloroethylene, the most interesting of which are the following: from acetylene and chlorine, in the presence of antimony chloride (germ. Pat. No. 196324), from chlorine and ethylene (germ. Pat. No. 201705 and no. 205516) and, finally, from tetrachloroethane (germ. Pat. No. 201754). Particularly, one should stop at the well-known method of producing 1 -.2 dichloroethylene from acetylene and chlorine, by passing them over heated copper dichloride or dichloride or their mixture. The author of the present invention proposes to obtain dichloroethylene and copper monochloride by passing acetylene through a hydrochloric acid solution of copper dichloride, in which copper monochloride is added in advance. In the absence of copper monochloride, the reaction at first proceeds very slowly, but gradually as its monochloride accumulates, its rate greatly increases. The addition of copper chloride before the start of the reaction makes it possible to start the reaction immediately at maximum speed. The process for the preparation of dichloroethylene is best carried out as follows. Acetylene is passed through a solution of dichloride and copper dichloride in water in the presence of hydrochloric acid. Expert NN Vorozhtsov Editor E. Ts. Ershova at 50 - BO. Exhaust gases are passed through a cooler, then through a converter with quicklime, a calcium chloride dryer, and finally get into the adsorption scrubber. Unreacted acetylene can again be started up and production. A precipitate of copper monochloride gradually accumulates in the reactor; at the end of the process, it is removed and after adding to the solution a new batch of copper dichloride is used again to obtain dichlorethylene. To obtain dichloroethylene by the proposed method, the following composition of the reaction solution turned out to be the best: 10–15 kg of copper dichloride (crystalline), 2 kg of copper dichloride and 25 liters of hydrochloric acid. The reaction is complete within 12-14 hours. If the amount of copper monochloride is reduced to 300-500 g, then the reaction rate is greatly slowed down, and the time required for the reaction will already be 22-25 hours. The subject matter of the invention. The method of producing 1: 2 dichloroethylene and copper monochloride, characterized in that acetylene is passed into a hydrochloric acid solution of copper dichloride, in which is added one copper chloride.
