Description

For the purpose of better foaming and separation of ore from waste rock when ores are enriched by a known flotation method with the addition of oily substances, it is proposed to apply the oil, previously introduced into the emulsion with fine ore, mix with air or other gas pressure is extremely small, covered with an oil film, gas bubbles in the tank with suspended ore. According to the author, gas bubbles, due to the property of their oily surface, attract mineral particles that are in the emulsion, and at the same time, some of the waste rock is attracted to them. Rising to the surface, gas bubbles experience less pressure from the liquid and increase in volume, as a result of which the oil on the film becomes thinner and the particles of waste rock adhering to it are separated and

The supernatant foam is removed through a drain pipe and collected as a pure concentrate, and the remaining ore at the bottom. discharged through an outlet pipe and. if necessary, subjected to one or more repetitive treatments.

To view this method, an apparatus shown in the drawing is proposed.

3.FIG. 1 is a view of the apparatus from the exhaust side; FIG. 2 is a plan; FIG. 3 and 4 are longitudinal vertical sections along the lines e - c and d - d in FIG. 2 and FIG. 5, 6 and 7 are transverse vertical sections along the lines a - a, b - 1 and c - c in FIG. 3

The device and the operation of the proposed apparatus is as follows. The ore turbidity is introduced along the chute 7 into space 2 and from there, through the opening 3, enters below into the water-filled mixing chamber 4 (Fig. 4). In this 11, the following cameras 4 4, 4 and 4 out
