Description
The invention relates to the field of welding production and may find application in welding butt joints of sheet steel.
The aim of the invention is to increase the productivity of the arc welding process, reduce the consumption of electrode metal, improve quality.
1.In FIG. 1 shows a process diagram; in FIG. 2 — section A — A in FIG. 1.
The method is as follows.
When welding parts 1 are installed vertically with a gap between them. Two melting wire electrodes 3, directed towards each other and parallel to the surface of the weld pool 4, are introduced into the gap through the mouthpieces 2 located on the outer 15 surfaces of the parts. An indirect arc 5 burning between the wire electrodes 3 ensures the melting of the electrodes themselves, and also the metal of parts 1. To melt the edges of parts 1 along their thickness, the arc oscillates along the gap due to an increase or decrease in the feed rate of one of the electrodes. An increase or decrease in the feed rate of one of the electrodes leads to a change in the length of its departure and, as a result, the movement of the arc along the gap between the parts. To oscillate the arc along the gap (along the thickness of the part), the feedrate is periodically changed to the opposite at the extreme points (on the outer surfaces of the parts). The weld pool 4 is held in the gap by copper water-cooled molds 6, moving together with the electrodes (mouthpieces) vertically along the part.
Example. Welding of parts 5 with a thickness of 20 mm was carried out. Process parameters: the gap between the parts is 8 mm, the wire Sv-08A with a diameter of 2 mm, the reach of the electrode is 30 mm, the feed speed of the electrodes is the anode Va = 200 m / h and the cathode V "= 220 m / h, 1s / = 350 A, and ^ = 35 V. The increment in the feed rate of the electrodes is 6 mm / s. Moreover, the arc oscillation frequency is 10 count / min. Electrode melting coefficient a = 40 g / Ah. Welding speed 3.2 m / h.
Subsequent studies of welded joints showed their high quality.
The method allows to increase the productivity of arc welding through the use of two electrodes and reduce the gap between the parts to 8 mm (only electrodes are introduced into the gap), and also reduce the consumption of electrode metal.
