PRI m e RO Preparation of the charge is as follows
Alumina content of 80-95% is moistened with a solution of magnesium chloride and calcined when ground in a vibrating mill, washed from the iron and dried. From a mixture of clay, oxides of hafnium, cerium, lutetium, ytterbium and yttrium, a suspension is prepared, to which 10-15% of alumina is added. The suspension is kept for 20-24 hours, mixed with the remaining amount of alumina, a slurry is prepared or the mass is cast, or products are pressed by known methods.
