Abstract
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to boiling intensifier compositions used in casting boiling steel into molds. The purpose of the invention — reducing the content of non-metallic inclusions in steel by increasing the assimilating capacity of the ingot slag — is achieved by using a boiling intensifier containing, in wt.%: A material based on iron oxides 54-74; coke 10-20; soda ash 16-26. Due to the low melting point of the boiling intensifier, viscosity and surface tension of the ingot slag with a reduced content of manganese oxides in it and an increased content of sodium oxide, the assimilating capacity of the ingot slag increases, which ensures a reduction in the content of non-metallic inclusions in steel to 0,0192-0, 0224 wt.%. 2 tab. with so sl

The invention relates to metallurgists, in particular to boiling intensifier compositions used in casting boiling steel as stated.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the content of non-metallic inclusions in steel due to an increase in the assimilating capacity of the ingot slag.
As materials based on iron oxides, mill scale, iron ore, products of regeneration of etching solutions based on iron oxide, etc. can be used.
Petroleum, pitch or coal coke can be used in the boiling intensifier.
Table 1 shows the compositions of the proposed boiling intensifiers.
Table 2 presents the properties of boiling intensifiers, their scrap metal melts, as well as the results of using boiling intensifiers for treating boiling steel in molds for ingots with a mass of 7.8-9.0 tons.
A boiling intensifier was used in the form of lenticular briquettes with a maximum size of 15-45 mm, obtained by pressing without binding in a roller press under a pressure of 1000-1500 kgf / cm. The boiling intensifier can also be obtained in the form of briquettes weighing about 3 kg on a revolving tool. a press with a relatively small specific pressure (135-140 kgf / cm). In this case, to ensure the necessary technological strength of the briquettes, an organic binder is introduced into the mixture of the initial components of the intensifier before pressing: a sulphite-yeast mash (SDB) with a density of 1.05-1.15 g / cm or sulphite-alcohol bard (PRS) density. The binder consumption should be 10.5-12.5% (in excess of 100%. The lower and upper limits of the binder's running time (10.5 and 12.5%) correspond to the lower and upper limits of soda in the intensifier
The booster intensifier consumption is 0.35-0.45 kg per 1 ton of steel.
