Описываема  быстрорежуща  сталь, содержаща  хром, ванадий, вольфрам и кобальт, а также способ ее термической обработки, позвол ют -повысить срок службы быстрорежущего инструмента. Достигаетс  это изменением соотношени  содержани  Б сталп ванади  и углерода , а также сокращением продолжительности нагрева стали перед ее закалкой.The described high-speed steel containing chromium, vanadium, tungsten and cobalt, as well as the method of its heat treatment, make it possible to increase the service life of the high-speed tool. Предлагаема  сталь содержит: 1,5% углерода, 4,OVo .хрома, 17% вольфрама, 3,0% ванади , 1,0% .молибдена и 8,OVo кобальта. Термическа  обработка стали: закалка в масле с температуры 1220-1260° и последующий трехкратный отпуск первые два раза с температуры 560° и третий раз с температуры 580-бОО. Предварительный, нагрев под закалку осуществл ют до температуры ЗБО, а окончательный нагрев до 1220-1260° ведут в хлористо-бариевой ванне, причем выдержка нагрева должна составл ть всего 3-4 сек/мм. После такой термической обработки сталь обладает следующими свойствами: твердость Re-70, прочность при изгибе-200-216 кг/мм- и ударна  в зкость -1,2- .1,98 кг/см.The proposed steel contains: 1.5% carbon, 4, OVo.
