Description

The described method for the preparation of ce, 1nida cadmium, in contrast to the known ones, is not associated with the use of toxic selenous hydrogen and allows to obtain cadmium selenide free from oxide compounds in the form of a fine-crystalline powder with a high degree of purity.

The peculiarity of the method is that cadmium selenite is reduced by hydrogen.

The method is carried out as follows. The initial raw materials (solutions of cadmium salts and seleptive anhydride) are purified by known .eethodes from trace metals contained in it) (Pe, N, Co, Cu, Pb). The interaction, for example, aqueous suspension of CdCOs with a solution of selenous acid (or by the interaction of cadmium sulfate with an alkali metal selenite acid salt or ammonium), gives anhydrous selenistocide cadmium.

1.10-% Fe.Selenite cadmium is reduced (calcined) with hydrogen in a quartz boat in a tube furnace at 400–500 °. When, for example, 20 g of CdSeOs is reduced with hydrogen at a rate of 10, the process ends within 2 hours. at 500 °. The resulting product contains 59.3% Cd and 40.5% Se (theoretically 58.73% Cd and 41.2 /% Se) and not more than 1.10-% Fe as a trace impurity.

После первого прокаливани  продукт перемешивают, а затем осуществл ют повторное прокаливание (восстановление).Upon receipt of cadmium selenide in large quantities, the reduction is advisable to carry out in two ways. After the first calcination, the product is stirred, and then the second calcination (reduction) is carried out.

Subject invention

The method of obtaining cadmium selenide, characterized in that, in order to obtain a fine-crystalline powder, cadmium selenite is reduced by hydrogen.
