Description

д.).The known methods of electrolytic deposition of bismuth are based on acidic electrolytes (nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, perchloric acid, etc.).

A new method of electrolytic deposition of bismuth is based on alkaline solutions.

Two alkaline electrolytes are proposed for electroplating bismuth containing Trilon B as a complexing agent. One of them — for the bismuthization of copper and its alloys — works with a current density of 0.2–0.6 a / dw; but also steel products - it works at a current density of 0.2-0.3 a1 dm.

In order to prepare the electrolyte of copper bismuth and its alloys, the required amount of sodium bismuthate is first added to the aqueous solution of Trilon B by heating; the solution is well placed and achieve the fullest possible dissolution of bismuthate. The remaining bismuthate precipitate is completely dissolved by the addition of the Rochelle salt. Thereafter, alkali is added to the cold electrolyte while placing. Stub glue is soaked in a separate portion of water, and then slightly heated. After cooling, the glue is added to the entire electrolyte. A well-prepared electrolyte should have a light yellow color.

The following electrolyte composition (in g / l) is used for the bismulation of copper and its planes:

8glue table ryny - 8

Products made of copper and its alloys are etched in a mixture of concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids (the latter is taken in an amount of 10 ml / l). After pickling, the products are thoroughly rinsed with running water.

Batching is carried out at room temperature, with continuous movement. Current density 0.2-0.6 a / dm. Anodes - bismuth. The surface of the anodes is equal to the surface of the cathodes.
