Description
This invention relates to analytical chemistry, to methods for the quantitative determination of soluble streptocide.
Soluble streptocide is p-sulfamidobenzene amino methane sulfate sodium and is used in medical practice as an antibacterial agent.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity and simplify the method.
An example. Quantitative determination of soluble streptocide in substance.
The exact amount of the preparation within the range 0,012-0,017 g is dissolved in distilled water in a 50 ml volumetric flask and made up to the mark. 5 ml of a 1% aqueous solution of ASH-acid (1-hydroxy-8-aminonaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid) and 5 ml of diluted soponon acid are added to 5 ml of dilution; the reaction mixture is heated with boiling water. Noah bath for 20-25 minutes After cooling, the colored solution is quantitatively transferred into a 50 ml volumetric flask and added to the mark with water. A parallel experiment was carried out with a standard solution of a soluble streptocide (0.015 g in 50 ml) and a background solution.
The optical density of the analyzed solutions was measured against the control using a spectrophotometer at 465 nm in cuvettes with a layer thickness of cm.
The calculation of the quantitative content of soluble streptocide is carried out according to the formula
