Description
The invention relates to the processing of polymeric materials and can be used for the manufacture of products from composite materials. A known mold for the manufacture of polymer products, in which parts of the composite punch are made of heat-resistant rubber. The forming pressure is created by thermal expansion of the punch material. In this way, the punch acts on the workpiece from the outside 1. However, in this mold, the punch must have considerable mass to provide the necessary pressure. Closest to the invention in its technical essence and the effect achieved is a mold for the manufacture of polymer products, comprising a matrix and a punch made in the form of a plate and an elastic forming chamber associated with it. 2 .. However, the operation of a known mold is associated with certain difficulties, since before forming the preform it is necessary to install a rod in the elastic forming chamber, on which the tablets of the gas-forming substance are placed. In addition, when molding deep products or products of complex shape from composite materials, the density of products in different areas may be reduced due to the unequal pressure generated in different places of the matrix. The purpose of the invention is to simplify the operation of the mold and improve the quality of products from composite materials. The goal is achieved by the fact that in a mold for the manufacture of polymer products containing a matrix and a punch made in the form of a plate and an elastic forming chamber associated with it, the elastic forming chamber is provided with an inner liner made of elastic porous material with longitudinal cuts from slabs. FIG. 1 shows various shapes of elastic forming chambers with an inner liner; in fig. 2 - mold at various stages of product forming, section. The mold contains a matrix 1 and a punch, made in the form of a plate 2 and the elastic forming chamber 3, 1-2 mm thick, fitted with an inner liner 4 made of elastic porous material, with longitudinal cuts 5 from the side of the plate 2. The incisions are made to such a depth that the height of the uncut part of the porous elastic liner is equal to the distance from the notch to the side surface of the liner. The porous elastic liner can be of the same material as the elastic forming chamber or from another no less heat resistant. The mold works as follows. After placing the workpiece 6 into the matrix 1, an elastic molding chamber 3 is inserted into it, which is further deformed by the punch plate 2, as a result of which the workpiece 6 is compacted. After compaction, the mold is heated and due to the thermal expansion of the punch material, an increase in the pressing pressure occurs. The longitudinal cuts 5 during pressing ensure the loss of stability of the elastic porous liner (Fig. 2) and contribute to a more uniform distribution of pressure over the surface of the workpiece. The mold can also be used to make an elastic porous liner in an elastic forming chamber. In this case, the product mock-up and the punch blank — an elastic molding chamber with a rubber compound insert — are placed in the mold. The liner contains cuts in which the release film is placed. After the matrix is closed with a plate, the mold is heated, during which the elastic porous liner 4 is molded. The use of the invention will simplify the operation of the tooling and improve the quality of products made of composite materials.
