Description
Methods are known for the manufacture of printed circuits on an insulating base by hot foil embossing and then removing it from the gaps. When using such methods for electroplating copper on the remaining areas of the foil, these areas have to be connected with each other with special devices or left on the scheme so-called process bridges, which are subsequently removed. The use of connecting devices or technological bridges complicates the production of printed circuits.
100-150.The present invention makes it possible to simplify the technology for the manufacture of printed circuits by using as a base copper-clad boards, on which hot foil is applied to a colorful foil used for embossing on bindings. Before embossing, the foil is covered with a layer of bakelite lacquer. The embossing is produced by a brass or steel stamp heated to 100-150.
During embossing, the foil is pressed against the base material only in the protruding stamps. The first foil layer, the paraffin one, is melted, and the second, the paint layer, is easily separated from the paper substrate. The ink layer, due to the presence of a layer of bakelite lacquer, adheres to the base material of the printed circuit to form an imprint. From the blank areas where the foil is not pressed by a stamp, it is removed along with the paper base and an insulating protective layer remains at these places. The boards are then subjected to galvanic deposition of copper, and the use of special connecting devices is not required, since all the foil parts remaining on the board are interconnected by a layer of copper, which is coated with a chemically copper coated insulation board.
After galvanic build-up of copper on the foil, the protective insulating layer from the gap areas is removed, and a thin layer of chemical copper from these areas is easily etched in a solution of chromic acid or ammonium persulfate.
