Abstract
Desulfurization catalyst according to the invention has a high desulfurizing property and a catalytic cracking activity to control generation of hydrogen and coke. The desulfurization catalyst is used for FCC gasoline and carries vanadium oxide at least on a portion of surface of porous inorganic oxide spherical particle. The vanadium oxide may form a thin layer, and a quantity of carried vanadium oxide is in the range from 0.3 to 3 wt% when calculated as V2O5.
