Abstract

The catalytic composition according to the present invention has high attrition resistance and provides an excellent effect of increasing an octane number in gasoline and a content of light olefins in case of low contents of pentacyl-type zeolite in the catalyst. The catalytic composition for fluidized catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons has a form of spherical fine particles and comprises phosphorus pentoxide in the range from 5 to 20% by weight, pentacyl-type zeolite in the range from 10 to 50% by weight and a porous inorganic oxide in the range from 30 to 85% by weight. A content of P2O5 in a surface portion of the spherical fine particle is 1.05 times or more higher than that in a central portion thereof.
