Abstract

The method of engine management uses the required output torque of the engine, represented by the position of the accelerator pedal, for calculating a required setting value for a setting device controlling the combustion air delivered to the engine. The calculation of the setting value is corrected via correction factors for compensating the effects of the pressure and/or temperature in the suction pipe and/or the air flowstream. The control and regulation can be effected via a microcomputer using appropriate software.
