Abstract

The opening (5,6) is designed as a smoke removal insert aligned inwards, and is cast as an integral part at the cast iron body (3,4) of the oven. The opening (5,6) is covered by a removable cover plate (18,19). The removable cover plate (18,19) is designed as an integral part at the cast iron body (3,4) of the oven. It is cast and it is provided with weakened sections (11,12 and 13,14), e.g. grooves, notches or indentations in the cast iron body (3,4). These are provided at the inner and outer sides of the oven along the planned outer edge of the smoke removal opening (5,6). ADVANTAGE - Circumvents need for separate smoke removal attachment projecting outwards from oven. Separate closing plate which is perhaps thrown away when chimney section is fitted is not required.
