Abstract
The invention concerns a method and arrangement for indicating an overload in a direct current switch. In the method is measured an overload of a switching element (Q4, Q5) provided with a control switch (Q3) and supplying a signal path (A). To detect an overload, the current (I) passing through the control switch (Q3) of the switching element (Q4, Q5) is examined. When a change is detected in the current (I) passing through the control switch (Q3) of the switching element (Q4, Q5) supplying the signal path (A), a control signal (K) controlling the overload current is generated from the main current path of the control switch (Q3) to an indicator switch (Q12). By means of the control signal (K) is generated an indicator signal (L) indicating the overload current. <IMAGE>
