Abstract

A seat covering has two separate parts, the cover (10) for covering at least the back and seat members, and a fabric trim (17) for encircling the base of the seat. The fabric trim (17) comprises upper and lower lengths of elastic stretched and sewn into braiding extending along spaced edges of a fabric strip. Self-fastening strips at the ends of the trim (17) fasten the ends thereof together to form a band of the correct size. The cover (10) for the seat is packaged in an indissociable manner with the base trim (17). The trim allows for perfect dimensional adjustment. <IMAGE>
