The annular sealing-compartment (10) contains a rigid protuberance (26) restricting the relative displacement of the sealing surfaces (2,6) to an eccentric position, and thereby reducing the width of the annualar sealing compartment (10) and the compression of the sealing part (16). A radially thinner part is formed between two thin-walled parts (28,30) separated by a cavity (20) in the sealing-ring.
