Abstract

A hydraulic lifting arrangement for a lift assembly on battery-driven vehicles includes a double-acting piston-cylinder device (17) for lifting and lowering the lift assembly. The arrangement also includes a pressure-gas chamber (26) for establishing a bias or preload on the piston-cylinder device, and a hydraulic pump (40) which is operated by an electric motor and which co-acts with a system of pipes for operating the piston cylinder device. This device has a first working chamber (28) and a second working chamber (29), which are connected directly to the pump via connecting pipes (41,42). The fluid flow from the pump can be varied with regard to size and direction, so that the working stroke of the piston- cylinder device can be controlled by the pump motor (49). The pressure- gas chamber (26) is incorporated in the piston-cylinder device and is defined by a centrally located tube (22), which also extends through the piston rod (21). <IMAGE>
