Abstract
The mechanism includes an input objective lens (1) which is carried by a frame (2) which is rotated by a circular motor (10). A second frame supports the lens and is driven by an elevation motor (11). An image capture lens (3) solidly attached to the frame maintains image centring in the plane of the detector (4). The detector is solidly attached to the frame (5), as are the drive motors for the mechanism. In the case of the elevation motor, the linkage is provided by a lever mechanism (17-16) with adjustable angle couplings at the ends of the lever. A circular optical scanning device (7) may be provided and combined with an optical sight axis control system.
