Abstract

PURPOSE:To fix a mirror drive section, an optical unit and a signal control section altogether to fix an interconnection cable by moving a mirror in the subscanning direction synchronously with a drive signal of a CCD on a mirror drive shaft with an angle of 45 deg. to a read original. CONSTITUTION:In applying scanning to a fixed original 15 from a point (a) to a point (b), a signal control section 24 gives a drive signal to a CCD 22 included in an optical unit 20 via a cable 23 and gives a scanning signal to a mirror drive section 18 synchronously therewith. In this case, a picture at a point (b) on the fixed original 15 is lighted by a fluorescent light 25, its image is made incident in a mirror 17 at an angle of 45 deg. on the point (c), and its angle is converted by 90 deg. and the result is reflected axially in the mirror drive shaft 16. The reflected picture light forms an image onto a CCD 22 while being collected by a lens 21 of the optical unit 20 and the electric signal is processed by the signal control section 24 via the cable 23. When the scanning of one line is finished, the signal control section 24 sends a signal of one-line UP to the mirror drive section 18 through the cable 23 to move the mirror 17 toward the subscanning direction by one line.
