Abstract

The relevant invention concerns an arrangement for the transformation of a fluid flow with a small volume per unit of time and high pressure, to a fluid flow with a large volume per unit of time and with low pressure or vice versa. The arrangement consists of a water turbine (4) with a relatively small diameter which via a cog wheel (5, 6) drives a propeller pump (7) with a large diameter. The turbine (4) and propeller pump (7) have separate declivity regarding their riser pipes (3, 8).In such water flow transformers, there is usually a machine construction which can be used, amongst other things, for the extraction of useful materials from sea water via the use of extractors, whilst the turbine can be driven by, for example, wave power with extraction from the sea of metals like uranium, molybdenum, vanadium etc., which have low concentrations in the sea water, whereby huge amounts of water must be processed.Another area of use is to anchor the installation in a sea current so that the turbine and the propeller wheel combine for the operation of an electricity generator, preferably from the turbine wheel's axle.<IMAGE>
