Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable energy to be effectively converted by taking out oscillation of a buoy floating on water surface and vertical movement of a vertically movable shaft mounted on the buoy as the output of a generator or pump.
CONSTITUTION: Lateral oscillation of waves is converted into forward and backward rotation of an input shaft of a generator 18 in a bracket 16 by a buoy 4 oscillating in the forward and backward directions about the axis of a rotary pivot 15. Vertical oscillation of waves is converted into forward and backward rotation of a nut 7 by a vertically movable shaft 3 moving together with the buoy 4. The movement thus converted is taken out as the output of a generator 18 or pump 21 for effective conversion of energy.
