Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize waves for power generation by constituting a wave generator such that a float body is supported on a support and up and down motions of the float body caused by waves are converted into a rotary motion by means of a rack and a gear.
CONSTITUTION: A float body (sea base) 1 is supported on a support 2 and is fitted on a support frame 4 mounted for up and down slidable motion. The up and down motions of the sea base 1 are converted into a rotary motion by means of a rack 6 and a gear 7 for rotating a generator 8 to effect power generation. The sea base 1 is moored at a sea side edge 9 thereof by means of a mooring chain in order to prevent the sea base 1 from being removed to drift even in a rainstorm, assuring greater power generation to be obtained thereby. Thus, since power can be resulted from up and down motions of everlasting waves, buoyancy as well as wave pressure, the wave generator can meet the necessity for energy savings.
