Abstract

A tyre pressure control system is proposed with which the air pressure in the vehicle tyres can be changed while travelling. The tyres are connected to supply lines (12, 12', 12'') in which rotor connections, control valves (24, 25, 24', 25'), shutters (28, 29, 28', 29') and an adjustable control valve (9) are arranged. Connected downstream of the control valve (9) are a relay valve and a pressure control valve (11). The pressure control valve (11) is constructed as a valve assembly and has a plurality of multi-position valves (13, 14, 15) which permit the switch positions: increase pressure, maintain pressure and reduce pressure for each vehicle tyre of the axle. Preferably a pressure control valve of an anti-lock device can be used as well for the valve assembly (11). <IMAGE>
