Abstract

A tyre pressure control system is proposed with which the air pressure in the vehicle tyres can be changed while travelling. The tyres are connected to supply lines (12, 12', 12'') in which rotary connections (16, 17, 18, 19), control valves (24, 25, 26, 27), restrictors (28, 29, 30, 31) and an adjustable control valve (9) are arranged. A relay valve (5) and a shut-off valve (11) are connected downstream of the control valve (9). The measuring principle of such a tyre pressure control system is constituted by flow sensors (13) which are arranged in the supply line (12, 12', 12'') upstream of the relay valve (5). The tyre pressure control device can preferably be used in lorries and road trains. <IMAGE>
