Abstract

The missile is for training purposes, the range for which it is fired being limited by its nose-cap, which does not drop off on firing. The cap (1) has one or more slots (2) emanating from its rear end and so dimensioned that, under the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the missle, this part expands and locks it into engagement with the body (4) of the missle. The cap can be a press-fit in the body and/or can be provided with a bead to give the locking action.
