Abstract

Machine for preparing food such as mashed potato, sauces, puddings, creams and the like. The machine has a mixing vessel 3, in which the water and a starting material in the form of powder or flakes are mixed by means of a rotating mixer 7. The mixer has a helically coiled mixing rod 22 and, next to the bottom 10 of the vessel 3, an obliquely upwardly and forwardly inclined blade 23, seen in the rotation direction A of the mixer, which prevents food from burning onto the bottom of the vessel and in this way forming a coating which is difficult to remove. The blade 23 also helps to press food in the direction of an outlet 27 in the bottom 10 of the vessel 3 in order to facilitate discharge. <IMAGE>
