Abstract
1,3-Dichloroacetone oxime is prepared by reacting 1,3-dichloropropanone with a hydroxylamine salt. The pH of the reaction system is brought to a value of </= 2, which is maintained during the reaction. 1,3-Dichloroacetone oxime acetate is prepared by the above process, the resulting product being reacted with acetic anhydride. 1,3-Dichloroacetone oxime can be used as intermediate for the preparation of fungicides and bactericides.
