1409772 Cyclohexenone derivative CIBAGEIGY AG 2 April 1973 [4 April 1972] 15640/73 Heading C2C The novel compound, 5-amino-2-(#-cyanoethyl)-5-cyclohexen-1-one, of the Formula I is prepared by heating a compound of the Formula II in which R is an aliphatic radical containing up to 10 C atoms or an aromatic radical optionally substituted, in the presence of a basic catalyst and an organic solvent, to a temperature of 40‹ to 250‹ C.
