Abstract

1,107,403. Plastics tubes; container closures. E. S. & A. ROBINSON Ltd. 11 May, 1965 [11 May, 1964], No. 19573/64. Headings B8D and B8T. A plastics tube is formed with a non-return valve comprising a valve body fitting within a nozzle at one end of the tube and a displaceable valve member within the body. The member may be a ball valve 22 held in position by lugs 20, which are partially cut from the wall of the valve body and spring into a retaining position as the body is inserted in the nozzle. A flange 17 engaging the tube wall may be enlarged, Fig. 5 (not shown), to engage a dishshaped member (25) providing a valve seating. The valve may be in the form of a slit (33), Figs. 6-9 (not shown), in a tubular member moulded integrally with the valve body.
