Claims (23)
1. _ Radarsystem för övervakning av ett intresseområde (ROI), varvid radarsystemet innefattar en antennanordning för sändning och mottagning av elektromagnetisk radarstrålning och en signalbehandlingsanordning för generering av signaler för sändning under drift motsvarande elektromagnetisk radarstrålning fràn antennanordningen till intresseomràdet (ROI) och också för behandling av mottagna signaler, som härrör från reflektioner av den elektromagnetiska radarstrålningen från ett eller flera föremål som befinner sig i intresseområdet (ROI), kännetecknat av att: (i) (ii) (m) (iV) radarsystemet är så anordnat att åtminstone ett av föremålen iintresseom rådet (ROI) har ett plant mål som reflekterar radarstrålning;signalbehandlingsanordningen är anordnad att bestämma enkomponent av de mottagna signalerna motsvarande det plana måletoch under en tidsperiod övervaka ändringar i komponenten av demottagna signalerna, varvid ändringar i komponenten större änåtminstone ett tröskelvärde indikerar fel i radarsystemet och/eller enändring av en status för intresseom rådet (ROI) som är potentiellt farlig;radarsystemet är anordnat att jämföra andra sensorsignaler med ett ellerflera tillhörande tröskelvärden för att bestämma huruvida en felfunktioneller farlig situation har uppstått, och kombinera de andrasensorsignalerna med en indikering av felfunktionen eller den farligasituation som genereras av komponenten av de mottagna signalerna;och radarsystemet är så anordnat att åberopade sökfunktioner används i radarsystem et genom användning av de andra sensorsignalerna. 26
2. Fïadarsystem enligt krav 1, kännetecknat av att det plana målet somreflekterar radarstrålning är utformat som en skiva eller nät av ett ledandematerial, vars plan under drift är huvudsakligen vinkelrätt mot ett markplan i intresseområdet (ROI).
3. Radarsystem enligt krav 2, kännetecknat av att det plana målet som reflekterar radarsträlning också fungerar som reklam- eller informationstavla.
4. Radarsystem enligt krav 1, kännetecknat av att det plana målet somreflekterar radarstrålning innefattar en kalibrerad radarhörnreflektor med enpolyedrisk konstruktion, vars radartvärsektion i förhållande till infallsvinkeln är känd av radarsystemet.
5. Fïadarsystem enligt krav 4, kännetecknat av att den polyedriska konstruktionen är triedrisk.
6. Radarsystem enligt något av föregående krav, kännetecknat av att radarsystemet är anordnat att generera den elektromagnetiska radarstrålningen i ett frekvensband 10 GHz till 200 GHz.
7. Radarsystem enligt krav 1, kännetecknat av att de andrasensorsignalerna innefattar åtminstone en av: (a) ljudsignaler fångade med avseende på intresseom rådet; (b) optiska signaler fångade med avseende på intresseom rådet; and/or (c) ultraljudsignaler fångade med avseende på intresseom rådet.

Fïadarsystem enligt något av föregående krav, kännetecknat av attradarsystemet är kopplat via ett datakommunikationsnät för att trådlöst skicka en varning för ett eller flera potentiella hinder i intresseom rådet (ROI) 27 till tåg som närmar sig detta i syfte att göra det möjligt för tåget att vidtakollisionsundvikande aktiviteter, varvid intresseområdet (ROI) innefattar en järnvägsövergång.

Sätt att övervaka ett intresseområde, varvid radarsystemet innefattaren antennanordning för sändning och mottagning av elektromagnetiskradarstrålning och en signalbehandlingsanordning för generering av signalerför sändning under drift motsvarande elektromagnetisk radarstrålning frånantennanordningen till intresseområdet och också för behandling avmottagna signaler, som härrör från reflektioner av den elektromagnetiskafrån ett eller flera föremål som radarstrålningen befinner sig i intresseom rådet, kännetecknat av att:(i) anordna radarsystemet så att åtminstone ett av föremålen iintresseom rådet (ROI) har ett plant mål som reflekterar radarstrålning;(ii) manövrera signalbehandlingsanordningen för bestämning av enkomponent av de mottagna signalerna motsvarande det plana måletoch under en tidsperiod övervaka ändringar i komponenten av demottagna signalerna, varvid ändringar i komponenten större änåtminstone ett tröskelvärde indikerar ett fel i radarsystemet och/elleren ändring av en status för intresseområdet (ROl)som är potentiellt farlig; 28 (iii) manövrera radarsystemet för att jämföra andra sensorsignaler med etteller flera tillhörande tröskelvärden för att bestämma huruvida enfelfunktion eller farlig situation har uppstått, och kombinera de andrasensorsignalerna med en indikering av felfunktionen eller den farligasituation som genereras av komponenten av de mottagna signalerna;och; (iv) anordna radarsystemet sà att åberopade sökfunktioner används i radarsystemet genom användning av de andra sensorsignalerna.
11. Sätt enligt krav 10, kännetecknat av uppsättning av det plana màletsom reflekterar radarsträlning som en skiva eller nät av ledande material,mot ett markplan i vars plan under drift är huvudsakligen vinkelrätt int resseom rädet.
12. Sätt enligt krav 11, kännetecknat av att det plana màlet som reflekterar radarsträlning används som reklam- eller informationstavla.
13. Sätt enligt krav 10, kännetecknat av att det plana màlet som reflekterar radarsträlning anordnas som en kalibrerad radarhörnreflektor med en polyedrisk konstruktion, vars radartvärsektion i förhällande till infallsvinkeln är känd av radarsystemet.
14. Sätt enligt krav 13, kännetecknat av att den polyedriska konstruktionen är triedrisk.
15. Sätt enligt nägot av kraven 10 till 14, kännetecknat av att radarsystem et anordnas att den elektromagnetiska radarsträlningen i ett frekvensband 10 GHz till 200 GHz. generera 29

Sätt enligt krav 10, kännetecknat av att de andra sensorsignalernainnefattar åtminstone en av: (a) Ijudsignaler fångade med avseende på intresseom rådet (FïOl); (b) optiska signaler fångade med avseende på intresseområdet (ROI);and/or (c) ultraljudsignaler fångade med avseende på intresseom rådet (ROI).
17. Sätt enligt något av kraven 10 till 16, kännetecknat av att radarsystemetkopplas via ett datakommunikationsnät för att trådlöst skicka en varning förett eller flera potentiella hinder i intresseområdet (ROI) till tåg som närmarsig detta i syfte att göra det möjligt för tåget att vidta kollisionsundvikande aktiviteter, varvid intresseom rådet innefattar en järnvägsövergång.
18. Sätt enligt krav 17, kännetecknat av att de kollisionsundvikandeaktiviteterna innefattar åtminstone en av aktiviteterna: (i) bromsning av ett tåg som närmar sig järnvägskorsningen; (ii) stoppande av tåget före järnvägskorsningen; och/eller (iii) sänkning av tågets hastighet. innefattande ett datorläsbart
19. Datorprogramprodukt permanent, lagrinigsmedium med lagrade datorläsbara instruktiooner, varvid dedatorläsbara instruktioonerna är exekverbara med en datoriserad anordning,som innefattar processhårdvara för utförande av sättet enligt vilket som helst av patentkraven 10 till 18.
