Abstract

FIELD: electronics, in particular, vacuum electronic devices; in particular, data displays. SUBSTANCE: a positive potential is applied to the grid of such a magnitude at which the secondary electron emission ratio of anodes-segments coated with phosphor becomes equal to or larger than unity. In this case the anode-segments, which are free electrodes, accept the magnitude of equilibrium potential. The cathode-luminescent indicator controlled by such a method uses three electrodes: cathode, grid and anodes-segments. The anodes-segments are made as an insulating base coated with phosphor preventing any conductive coupling of the anodes-segments to the power source and other indicator electrodes. In the offered design version the indicator is furnished with a fourth electrode in the form of a rolled grid. EFFECT: enhanced brightness of glow of cathode-luminescent indicator, simplified base design.

Claims (1)

2 з.п. The invention relates to electronic equipment, in particular to electronic vacuum devices, and can be used in information display devices. The way to control the cathodoluminescent indicator is to apply a positive potential to the grid such that the coefficient of secondary electron emission of the anode segments coated with the phosphor becomes equal to or greater than unity. In this case, the segment anodes, which are free electrodes, take the value of the equilibrium potential. A cathodoluminescent indicator controlled in this way contains three electrodes: a cathode, a grid, and anode segments. The anodes-segments are made in the form of an insulating substrate coated with a phosphor, eliminating the galvanic connection of the anodes-segments with a power source and other indicator electrodes. In an embodiment, the indicator is equipped with a fourth electrode in the form of a cathode grid. Achievement of brightness increase of the cathodoluminescent indicator and simplification of its basic design are achieved. 2 s.p. f-ly, 2 ill.
