Сущность изобретения: керамическое изделие (кирпич, плитки, керамзит и т. д. ) выполняют из сырьевой смеси, включающей, в мас. %: глина 20 - 79,9; отработанный бентонитовый буровой раствор 20,1 - 80. Способ заключается в том, что отработанный бентонитовый буровой раствор подсушивают до влажности 2 - 3%, затем смешивают с глиной до получения смеси определенного состава, прессуют или формуют заготовки, сушат и обжигают в туннельной кольцевой или в роликовой печи. В туннельной печи обжиг осуществляется в течение 18 - 40 ч при температуре 950 - 1000oС, в кольцевой печи 30 - 55 ч при 950 - 1000oС, в роликовой 8 - 12 ч при 1020 - 1080oС.
