Изобретение относится к электронной технике, в частности к технологии изготовления металлопористых катодов, по которой пористую матрицу, заполненную активным веществом, например алюминатом бария-кальция, закрепляют в держателе, выполненном из тугоплавкого металла, например тантала или молибдена. В предложенном способе закрепление производят посредством сварки лазерным лучом, при этом в зону сварки матрицы, из которой предварительно частично удалено активное вещество, помещают иридий или эмиссионноактивный сплав на его основе.
