Изобретение относится к металлургии, в частности к конструкции кристаллизаторов для непрерывного литья заготовок, в том числе из цветных металлов и сплавов. Сущность изобретения - повышение качества процесса непрерывного литья. Указанный технический результат достигается тем, что в кристаллизаторе, содержащем корпус, рабочие стенки, элемент, охватывающий слиток со стороны его выхода из кристаллизатора, при литье с принудительной подачей газа в зазор между слитком и рабочими стенками кристаллизатора элемент, охватывающий слиток со стороны его выхода из кристаллизатора, выполнен в виде обращенного к оси кристаллизатора выступа на его рабочей стенке, причем по периметру выступа выполнены продольные газоотводящие каналы, а размер полости, образованной выступами, определяется соотношением 0< d ≤ D-(ξ12), , где D - поперечный размер (диаметр в случае литья прутковой заготовки) полости, образованной рабочими стенками; ξ1- величина принудительно создаваемого зазора за счет подачи газа, ξ2- величина зазора, создаваемого усадкой слитка в кристаллизаторе.
