Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, merchandising of fur raw materials and veterinary medicine, in particular for non-drug prevention of wool-biting syndrome and metabolic disorders in chinchillas.
Obtaining high-quality fur for light industry and sewing high-quality fur products depends on the health of the animals from which fur raw materials are obtained. Their health depends on the nutrition of animals, and therefore the quality of the products received from them.
With the transfer of animal husbandry to an industrial basis, the conditions for keeping animals have changed dramatically, and their isolation from their natural habitat has increased. With industrial methods of keeping, the animal's body experiences great functional loads, its adaptive reactions to external stimuli change, which often become stressful.
This negatively affects the health and productivity of animals. In such a situation, young animals suffer more often, especially during critical immunodeficiency periods of growing, which is associated with the imperfection of the immune status that is in the formation stage. As a result, the physiological state of the organism is disturbed, productivity, natural resistance and immunological reactivity of young animals and the quality of skins are reduced.
In addition, there is still no consensus on the etiology of this disease, accompanied by self-gnawing wool syndrome.
А. - с. 42-45).There are several ways to treat the disease of fur-bearing animals, accompanied by the syndrome of self-gnawing. First, the fangs are bitten off by a sick animal with the help of side-cutting tongs or scissors. This manipulation protects the sick animal from further injury and allows you to maintain the quality of the skin. However, the method is not effective enough and requires additional costs, (see Gerasimchik V.A. Infectious and non-contagious diseases of fur animals and rabbits: a teaching aid / V.A. Gerasimchik. -Vitebsk: VGAVM, 2011. - p. 42- 45).
А. - с. 42-45).A known method of treating carnivores with self-gnawing syndrome, in which it is recommended to administer to sick minks a 5% solution of calcium chloride and a 10% solution of calcium gluconate in doses of 1.5...2.0 ml intramuscularly. At the same time, it is necessary to carry out external treatment of skin lesions with a solution of potassium permanganate or tincture of iodine. The disadvantage of this method is the pain of external local treatments for animals, additional stress, (see Gerasimchik V.A. Infectious and non-contagious diseases of fur animals and rabbits: a teaching aid / V.A. Gerasimchik. - Vitebsk: VGAVM, 2011. - p. 42-45).
A known method for self-gnawing foxes using chlorpromazine in the form of a 2.5% solution 2 times a day intramuscularly at a dose of 0.01 g/kg m.zh. 3…4 days in a row. At the same time, the appointment of pushnovit, trivitamin, methionine, glucose and dimephosphone with food 1 time per day for 2 weeks is shown. But the method does not protect against the problem of rodents and lagomorphs. (See Bespalova T.A. Self-nibbling of fur-bearing animals and its modeling in various biological systems - a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Omsk, 2000, 280 s).
The objective of the invention is to develop a method for the treatment and prevention of chinchilla fur self-nibbling syndrome using feed mineral and vegetable additives without creating additional stressful situations for animals.
%: Al2O3 - 20-30; SiO2 - 20-25; Fe2O3 - 10-15; CaO - 8-12; Na2O - 12-15; SO3 - 3-5; K2O - 0,3-0,5; KJ - 0.2.The problem is solved by the fact that for the treatment and prevention of self-nibbling of wool, chinchillas are injected with a feed mineral additive under the trade name "BSh-VIT" of the composition of the masses. %: Al 2 O 3 - 20-30; SiO 2 - 20-25; Fe 2 O 3 - 10-15; CaO - 8-12; Na 2 O - 12-15; SO3 - 3-5; K 2 O - 0.3-0.5; KJ - 0.2.
At the same time, the drug is administered for 21-30 days daily mixed with dry sea buckthorn powder, and in the process of feeding they use "BSh-VIT" produced by Sorbent-K LLC, Karpinsk and sea buckthorn berry powder produced by Diana LLC, Karpinsk . The drug is used in dry form, introducing into the feed by mixing.
The introduced complex preparation is conditionally named - phytomineral feed additive (FMCF).

Карпинск использовался в выпечке хлебобулочных изделий (печенье, булочки).Previously, sea buckthorn berry powder, produced by Diana LLC, Karpinsk, was used in baking bakery products (cookies, buns).
In the instructions for use of the drug "BSh-VIT" in a mixture with dry powder of sea buckthorn berries (a source of plant fibers, carotenoids and bioflavonoids) was not previously used and was not used as a drug for correcting metabolic processes in chinchillas, which is the use of well-known drugs for a new purpose .
The novelty of the method is that, together with the preparation "BSh-VIT", sea buckthorn berry powder is used for a new purpose for the prevention of immunodeficiencies and the treatment of chinchillas with self-gnawing wool, as well as to increase the body's immune resistance, in order to restore the quality of the fur, while KMD "BSh -VIT" is given at a dose of 0.2 g per 1 kg of live weight, and sea buckthorn berry powder 0.1 g per kg of live weight of the animal, in a total dose of 0.3 g of FMCD daily with food 1 time per day for 21-30 days.
Example 1. Practical studies were carried out in one of the nurseries of chinchillas in the Sverdlovsk region and at the Department of Infectious and Non-Contagious Pathology of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Ural State Agrarian University", laboratory blood tests were carried out in the veterinary clinic "Neovit", the grading assessment of the quality of the fur was carried out in a nursery.
1.The studies were carried out on 40 chinchillas. Animals were divided according to the principle of analogues into 4 groups of 10 animals each. Each group included males and females in equal numbers. The average age of the animals is 8 months, the average live weight is 500 grams. Animals, according to the accepted technology of keeping, regularly used natural zeolite for bathing and, accordingly, licked it off their fur, which turned out to be insufficient for the prevention of self-nibbling. The scheme of experience is given in Table 1.
The first experimental group of chinchillas had signs of self-nibbling of wool and received with feed a phytomineral feed additive (FMF) based on "BSh-VIT" mixed with sea buckthorn berry powder.
The second experimental group of chinchillas had poor fur quality (tangles, caking, dullness, bald spots), also received FMKD.
The third experimental group - healthy animals without signs of damage to the fur, without self-gnawing, defects and shortcomings. This group received FMCD with food as a prophylactic.
The fourth control group - chinchillas with signs of self-nibbling, received a general diet (fodder-granulate "World of Chinchillas Elite"), they did not receive FMCD.
- М., 2010. - 156 с).FMCD was fed to chinchillas once a day, during the second feeding, in a mixture with granulated feed at a total dose of 0.3 g of FMCD per kilogram of chinchilla live weight. The duration of the course of taking FMCD was 30 days. For all animals, the stress factor was maximally excluded. Recovery of fur after damage usually takes at least 3 months, so the results were evaluated 3 months after the end of the course of supplementation. The evaluation of the results was carried out by the method of external examination of chinchillas and the quality of the fur was evaluated according to the international 100-point system (see Novikov M.V. / Development of methods for assessing the quality of chinchilla skins and improving their production processes: dissertation of Candidate of Technical Sciences. - M., 2010. - 156 p.).
Chinchillas in the nursery are kept in cellular batteries, in specialized metal cages arranged in four tiers.
Drinking is carried out with drinking water from a well. Chinchillas have constant free access to water. Water change is carried out 1 time in two days.
The animals were fed twice a day: hay in the morning, basic food in the evening. The main food is a complete feed-granulate based on grass flour, a multi-component grain mixture (wheat, barley, oats, flax seeds) and individually every 2 times a week - dried apples, carrots, calendula flowers, wild rose. Once a week, chinchillas were given dry birch branches with leaves. Lactating females - dried nettle. In each cage, there was always a mineral stone (a block of foamed limestone) in free access for grinding teeth. All components of the diet were dry and clean.
Волден - Норвегия (Таблица 2).Bathing chinchillas in the sand, to cleanse the fur of dead hair and get rid of excess moisture, was carried out 2 times a week. For this, bathing baths with natural zeolite were used. Before the start of the study, all animals from all groups were subjected to a complete clinical study, then the quality of the fur was assessed according to the international 100-point system for assessing the quality of chinchillas by expert R. Volden - Norway (Table 2).
The grading quality of chinchillas is evaluated according to the following criteria:
- качество шерсти/quality - от 10 до 20 баллов;- wool quality/quality - from 10 to 20 points;
- размер/size 10-20 баллов;- size / size 10-20 points;
- форма тела/body shape 1-10 баллов;- body shape / body shape 1-10 points;
- форма головы/head 1-8 баллов;- head shape / head 1-8 points;
- окрас/colour 10-20 баллов;- color / color 10-20 points;
- рисунок/clearlines 8-20 баллов;- drawing/clearlines 8-20 points;
- шелковистость/silkines 1 баллов;- silkiness/silkines 1 points;
Total / total - maximum 100 points.
The quality of the wool was evaluated according to the following parameters: silkiness, evenness, elasticity, density, elasticity, density.
Перед началом исследования проведен забор и анализ крови для определения гематологического и иммунологического статуса (Таблица 3).Before the start of the study, blood was taken and analyzed to determine the hematological and immunological status (Table 3).
3.Blood samples were taken from chinchillas in the morning, from the heart, before feeding the animals. The general blood test was determined according to generally accepted methods. Changes in hematological parameters are presented in Table 3.
From the data of Table 3, it can be seen that in the animals of the experimental groups, the following indicators significantly increased: hemoglobin by 18%, leukocytes by 2 times, T-lymphocytes by 2 times and B-lymphocytes by 40%, which may indicate an increase in the immune response.
Before the start of the research and 3 months after the start of the experiment, a clinical examination of animals of all groups was carried out and an expert assessment of the fur was carried out. During the period of the research, it was noted that the chinchillas of the first and second experimental groups for four days ceased to be interested in their coat in order to bite off part of the hair. By day 7, there was a tendency to restore hair.
According to the results of a clinical examination, the fur of the chinchillas of the first experimental group recovered completely. At the same time, positive dynamics was noted not only in the condition of the fur, but also in the size and shape of the body. Those. the animals became larger in size and higher in fatness by an average of 200 grams. After the end of the experiment, according to the results of the grading, the grading score rose by an average of 30 points from the initial one, 90% of the chinchillas reached the “show class” quality gradation, and if they participated in the exhibition, they could qualify for the “Silver Ribbon”.
1. A, B, C shows the condition of the coat of animals of the first group before the start of the study (photo).
On FIG. 2 A, B, C shows the appearance of the animals of the first group 3 months after the cessation of feeding FMCD, the fur looked restored.
On FIG. 3 A, B, C, shows the appearance of the chinchilla of the second group before the start of the experiment. In chinchillas of the second experimental group (tangles, tightness, dullness, bald spots), the grading score after the end of the experiment increased by an average of 27 points, 90% of the chinchillas reached the “show class” quality level. The formation of tangles has stopped, the fur has become more shiny, elastic and even.
4. On FIG. 4. A, B, C shows the appearance of the chinchilla of the second group 3 months after the end of the experiment.
5. On FIG. 5. A, B, C shows the appearance of the animals of the third group before the start of the experiment, no noticeable changes were detected.
6. On FIG. 6. A, B, C, the appearance of the animal of the third group is presented 3 months after the end of the experiment. By the end of the feeding period, FCMD noted that their coat was uniform, shiny, the chinchillas felt good, all the natural functions and behavior of the animals were natural, species-specific. In the third experimental group, an increase in fatness was found, the increase in live weight averaged 180 g. for 4 months.
7. On FIG. 7. A, B, C shows the appearance of a chinchilla (photo) from the fourth group before the start of the experiment - the control group.
8. On FIG. 8. A, B, C shows the appearance of a chinchilla from the fourth group after the end of the experiment - deterioration of the coat.
In the fourth, control group, there were no changes in chinchillas with self-nibbling wool, which did not receive FMCD, and interest in their own wool remained. The result of bonding after the end of the experiment decreased by 7 points and became lower than the initial assessment. The animals continued to "cut" themselves, despite the optimal, for this type of animal, conditions of keeping, feeding and close control over the absence of stress factors.
4.The economic efficiency of applying the method for the treatment and prevention of self-nibbling of wool in chinchillas is shown in Table 4.
Estimated economic efficiency is 233 rubles 60 kopecks per 1 ruble of costs.
After analyzing the results of the experiments and photographic materials, we can draw the following conclusions:
1. The use of FMCD for the treatment and prevention of diseases in chinchillas with self-gnawing wool syndrome to restore the quality of the coat is economically feasible, and amounts to 233 rubles 60 kopecks per 1 ruble of costs.
2. With the use of FMCD in the treatment and prevention of diseases in chinchillas with the syndrome of self-nibbling of wool, there are no relapses of self-nibbling of wool in animals.
3. The quality of fur in chinchillas, according to the evaluation data, has recovered to the level of healthy animals.
4. In diseases accompanied by the syndrome of self-gnawing in chinchillas, it is advisable to prescribe FMCD as a source of macro- and microelements at a dose of 0.3 g per 1 kg of body weight of the animal daily 1 time per day. The duration of the course is 21-30 days.
5. Top dressing can be given in a mixture with granular feed. In order to prevent FMCD, it is necessary to feed courses once a season, if necessary, and more often, the course can be repeated after a 2-week break.
6. The use of FMCD according to the proposed method has a pronounced immunostimulating effect, can be recommended as an immunostimulant, as well as for use by farmers and breeders of chinchillas as an additional means of preventing diseases.
