Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular to veterinary surgery, can be used in the treatment of purulent-necrotic diseases of the skin base of the hooves of animal extremities (purulent pododermatitis, ulcers of Rostergolts).
Д. Known powder I.D. Zhitnyuk external use with antiseptic, drying effect [Kamaev, M.F. Infected wound and its treatment / M.F. Kamaev. - M., Medicine, 1970. - 106 S.], which is applied to the wound and the wound is closed with sterile gauze napkins. The powder contains sugar 60 g, white streptocid 15 g, xeroform 20 g, boric acid 5 g. However, the prototype does not have hydrophilicity.
However, the known powder has a disadvantage: long periods of treatment and limited use for inflammatory processes complicated by purulent discharge.
The technical result of the invention is a reduction in the treatment of purulent inflammation of the skin base of the hooves in cows.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that the active substance is diatomite - a sorbent based on highly dispersed silica evenly mixed with zinc sulfate, white streptocide and boric acid, respectively, in a ratio of 1.5: 0.5: 1: 1 into a finely divided powder.
The proposed drug is obtained by mixing the above components, g:
This powder is used as follows: after surgical treatment, a sterile napkin with a powder (0.1 ... 0.2 mm) consisting of a natural sorbent - diatomite, zinc sulfate, white streptocide and boric acid is applied to the affected defect, then a bandage dressing is applied.
Introduction to the recipe of the proposed powder - diatomite will increase the hydrophilic properties of this drug, which improves the outflow of wound exudate, as well as enhances antiseptic properties, which in general will allow cleansing and granulation of purulent-necrotic defect of the skin base of the hooves at an earlier date.
Tests of this powder in the experimental treatment of purulent-necrotic processes in the area of the skin base of the hooves of limbs in cows showed high therapeutic efficacy. As a result of the treatment, the purulent exudate was excreted for 8.80 ± 0.757 days, granulation and epidermization processes occurred on 3.80 ± 0.533 days and 12.00 ± 1.461 days, respectively, lameness was not detected on 19.40 ± 2.251 days. Complete clinical recovery in animals occurred on average on 25.6 ± 4.94 days.
The proposed therapeutic agent in the form of fine powder is highly effective and can be recommended for widespread use in veterinary practice to reduce the healing time of pathological processes of the base of the skin of the hoof in cows.
