Abstract
Description
The invention relates to agricultural machinery, is intended for trimming branches of trees and shrubs, in particular, for cutting and picking hops from a trellis wire.
Known secateurs [1] for trimming branches of trees and shrubs, which contains a cutting knife, pivotally connected to the opposing knife. The cutting and counter knife are connected with spring levers, and the counter knife is rigidly connected to the bar. The cutting knife is connected to the drive by means of traction. The drive includes an anchor and an electromagnetic coil installed in the housing. The anchor through an elastic membrane is connected to the drive rod of the cutting knife. The housing is made with a pipe spring-loaded spring in the direction of the pruning shear stroke. A rod is placed on the nozzle, inside which a spring and a thrust are placed. The spring rests in its travel stop, mounted inside the rod. A flange is made on the nozzle, interacting with the trigger, located on the rod. A button for closing contacts is installed under the trigger. The coil is connected in series to the AC power via a button.
The secateurs of this design have a number of significant disadvantages, which are as follows. To power the drive coil of the cutting knife, an AC source is required, which is very problematic in the field. Since the use of the secateurs for their intended purpose is possible only if there is a current source, it is not autonomous, its use is limited by the length of the power cable, the length of which in many cases creates additional difficulties when using the secateurs. The presence of an electric pruner in the drive creates a danger of electric shock, especially in damp conditions and during precipitation in the form of rain and snow. Branches cut by secateurs when pruning tall trees and shrubs, falling under the influence of gravity, pose an additional danger to maintenance personnel. When falling, cut branches can injure personnel, since the secateurs do not have a mechanism for holding the cut branch and its controlled descent to the soil. Also, the presence of an electric drive secateurs in the design reduces its reliability and requires additional training of maintenance personnel.
The closest in technical essence to the proposed invention is a pruner [2], which can be used for trimming trees and shrubs and containing two knives, one of which is connected to the bar, the second knife is connected to the drive cable. The secateurs are made in the form of folding tubular rods pivotally connected to each other by means of clips with eyes connected in pairs with pins. Moreover, between the inner eyes on the axles are installed rollers protruding beyond the inner diameter of the tubular sections. On the opposite side of the clips, a U-shaped retainer is reinforced. The second knife is connected via a cable to the rotary lever of the handle. The secateurs in the folded state is designed to trim shrubs, and when unfolded - tall trees. Before work, the knives are placed at a predetermined angle to the bar so that, without bending, it would be convenient to cut the shoot. When the lever is pressed, the cable transfers the movement to the second knife, which closes with the first knife and a cut is made. A significant drawback of the secateurs of this design is that a folding mechanism is used to change the cut height, which complicates the design of the secateurs, makes it more complex, less convenient, requires additional time to adjust the secateurs to the desired cut height. In addition, a folding design to change the cutting height makes it impossible to change it smoothly. It is also known that the more complex the design of the device, the lower its reliability. This secateurs allows you to perform only one operation - cutting the branches, holding the cut branches and its controlled descent to the soil by the design of the secateurs is not provided. Uncontrolled fall of a cut branch increases the risk of using this secateurs.
Thus, secateurs of known designs have a narrow functionality, they allow only one operation — cutting a branch, holding a cut branch, and even more so its controlled descent is not provided for in their design.
The aim of the invention is to develop a secateurs with enhanced functionality, namely cutting off the fruiting part of the hop vine and its controlled descent for further processing. In addition, the remaining part of the vine contributes to the further development of the underground part of the plant, strengthens it and prepares for the next harvest.

Figure 4 shows the node for smoothly moving the slider along the rod in height and the following notation is adopted: 23 — hop support cutting unit, 24 — hop vine stem grip node, 25 — slider, 26 — slider drive cable.
The whole structure of the secateurs is assembled on a telescopic rod (Fig. 1), consisting of the
Structurally, the cutting unit consists of two
The cutting unit 23 (Fig. 4) is fixed on the upper side of the
Structurally, the node capturing the stem (Fig. 3) consists of two
The next important node of the secateurs is the node of capture of the stem of the hop vine, its structural diagram is presented in FIG. 3. It is fixed on the lower side of the slider 25 (Fig. 4) and is indicated by 24. The assembly operates as follows. When the
Since the symmetry planes of the cutting
In Fig. 4, a
Secateurs are used as follows. Depending on the height of the hopper espalier wires and on their hanging, the secateurs are set by moving the
The technical effect consists in expanding the functionality of the secateurs, reducing the damage and clogging of hop cones due to the smooth removal of the fruit part of the vine from the trellis wire and its controlled descent for further processing. In addition, the working conditions of the operator are significantly improved in terms of ease of work and ensuring its safety. In addition, the remaining part of the vine contributes to the further development of the underground part of the plant, strengthening it and preparing for the next harvest.
